Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by Colombo Airport Taxi Pvt Ltd ("we", "us", or "the Company"), including our website, mobile application, and transportation services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

We provide the following transportation services in Sri Lanka:

  • Airport pickup and drop-off transfers to/from Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB)
  • Inter-city transfers between destinations across Sri Lanka
  • Hourly hire services in selected cities
  • City tours and excursion transfers
  • Hotel transfers to luxury resorts and properties
  • Corporate and event transportation

3. Booking & Confirmation

  • Bookings can be made through our website, mobile app, or WhatsApp
  • A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation notification (email or WhatsApp)
  • You must provide accurate pickup location, date, time, and passenger details
  • For airport pickups, providing your flight number is mandatory for flight tracking
  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings at our discretion

4. Pricing & Payment

  • All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Prices are fixed at the time of booking and include fuel, driver charges, and standard luggage
  • Payment can be made via credit/debit card (Stripe), or cash to the driver
  • For online payments, your booking is confirmed immediately upon successful payment
  • For cash bookings, payment is due to the driver upon completion of service
  • Highway/expressway tolls are included in the quoted price unless stated otherwise
  • Additional charges may apply for waiting time beyond the free grace period, route changes, or additional stops not in the original booking

5. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Be ready at the designated pickup location at the scheduled time
  • Provide accurate contact information for driver coordination
  • Treat the driver and vehicle with respect
  • Wear seatbelts at all times during the journey
  • Do not smoke, consume alcohol, or use illegal substances in the vehicle
  • You are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during your trip
  • Ensure children are accompanied by a responsible adult
  • Inform us of any special requirements (child seats, wheelchair access) at the time of booking

6. Waiting Time & No-Shows

  • Airport pickups: Up to 60 minutes free waiting time from flight landing (we track your flight)
  • Hotel/location pickups: Up to 15 minutes free waiting time from scheduled pickup time
  • Additional waiting time beyond the grace period may incur charges
  • If you do not appear within 60 minutes of the scheduled time without communication, the booking may be treated as a no-show

7. Luggage

  • Standard luggage (suitcases, backpacks) is included in the price
  • Oversized items (surfboards, bicycles, large equipment) must be declared at booking
  • We reserve the right to refuse items that cannot be safely accommodated
  • We are not liable for damage to fragile or improperly packed items

8. Vehicle & Driver

  • We assign vehicles based on your booking requirements (passenger count, luggage)
  • The specific vehicle model may vary but will match the category booked (Mini, Sedan, Van)
  • All drivers are licensed, experienced, and background-checked
  • Driver and vehicle details are shared before your pickup
  • We reserve the right to substitute vehicles or drivers for operational reasons

9. Liability & Insurance

  • All vehicles are fully insured for passenger safety
  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road conditions, weather, or events beyond our control
  • We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle after the trip
  • Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service
  • We are not liable for missed flights due to circumstances beyond our control

10. Account & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must not share your account with others
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • You can delete your account at any time through the account settings

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and app, including text, images, logos, and software, is the property of Colombo Airport Taxi Pvt Ltd and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
